Desde quando você começou a reunir todo esse acervo que pode ser visto aqui no Museu Jeca Tatu?
Eu fui pondo uma peça e outra, através da curiosidade das pessoas em dar valor ao antigo, a essas peças e a história antiga em si. Isso despertou uma curiosidade grande. Trazer o povo pra conhecer o museu; visitar uma peça. Por isso que aconteceu esse sucesso: arte. Retroceder.
Como surgiu o interesse em criar o Museu?
Esse Museu já tem muita história. São 16 anos de luta e história. Ele provém de uma necessidade de sobrevivência. Começou o Jeca Tatu lá em cima, muito pequeno, e daí foi expandindo, até tomar uma estrutura melhor. Foram 10 anos lá na Serra da Santa.
O pastel de angu do Jeca Tatu é famoso na cidade. Ele é produzido aqui ou vocês compram com fornecedores?
O pastel de angu não é feito aqui. Ele é terceirizado. Compramos com uma pessoa já conhecida na cidade e daí colocamos na revenda. Não fabricamos ou manuseamos nada aqui em alimentos. Compramos fora e virou essa tradição.
E de onde veio a ideia de fazer o Cine Arte Jeca Tatu?
Nós estamos com mais três ou quatro ideias para colocar em prática. O Cine Arte Jeca Tatu veio do meu interesse por essa arte e também porque em Itabirito não tem cinema. Teve uns tempos atrás mas hoje em dia já não tinha. Isso me aflorou a ideia de dar espaço para a sétima arte. A procura é muito grande e as pessoas querem isso.
Você tem ideias de novos projetos para o museu?
Estamos com um projeto novo, com réplicas de igrejas de Ouro Preto. São 27 igrejas e já estamos na 4ª. Vamos fazer também o Museu da Inconfidência. Tudo em réplica. Vai ficar muito bacana essa história que estamos fazendo lá no Museu Jeca Tatu. Quem está fazendo tudo isso é meu amigo, o artista plástico itabiritense Alvimar Diogenes Bâeta,que está elaborando as maquetes. Ele é um grande artista que devemos respeitar e dar valor. Está há quase 60 anos lutando para poder estar em evidência na nossa cidade. Essa é uma grande novidade. Daqui a um mês, mais ou menos, o povo de Itabirito estará convidado para ver as maquetes lá no Museu Jeca Tatu. Muito bacana.
Fale um pouco sobre seu livro que será lançado em breve.
Já escrevo há mais de 40 anos e agora veio a oportunidade para lançar um pequeno livro. É uma obra com poemas que já escrevo há um bom tempo. Tem oito poemas sobre Itabirito, além de contas e muito mais. Vai ser muito bacana e a previsão para lançamento é no próximo mês. O livro se chama “O silêncio das palavras” e tem 80 poemas, além de quatro contos. Fala muito sobre nosso cotidiano e nossa cidade. A data ainda está em aberto mas em breve será divulgada na imprensa. Sem as parcerias, como o Alvimar, o Adacir Costa, Pedro Miranda e uma equipe que faz toda a diferença, nada disso seria possível. Agora é preciso que o povo de Itabirito valorize mais o museu e a arte em geral na cidade. O Sou Notícia respeita muito essa área de cultura, faz entrevistas. Então temos aqui um caminho muito legal.
O que você fez para conseguir participar do quadro Quinquilaria, do programa Caldeirão do Huck, da Globo?
Veio uma pessoa aqui e falou que uma pessoa de São Paulo me daria um grande presente, mas não falou que seria o Luciano Huck. Essa pessoa me pediu pra que eu escrevesse uma carta falando do meu desejo de criar o Cine Arte Jeca Tatu. Eu fiz a carta num papel de pão, explicando toda a minha história. O Luciano leu e gostou da minha história. Foi ai que ele apareceu. Se a Globo não tivesse ajudado talvez o cinema só estaria saindo agora. Ia demorar muito mais.
Qual é a parte ou objeto do museu que você mais gosta?
A parte que eu estou mais gostando é a parte que está na minha mente para o futuro. Tudo que tem aqui eu gosto demais mas quero ir além. Estou com um planejamento para que daqui um mês e pouco eu possa incluir uma réplica da Igreja de São Francisco aqui no Museu. A réplica será em tamanho real e poderá até ter missa dentro dela.
Em 2016 foi noticiado que o Museu Jeca Tatu seria tema de um curta-metragem. Como está a produção desse filme?
É muito lento e difícil o processo para criação de um filme. É como na vida, quando vivemos 50 anos e lembramos apenas de cinco minutos do que se passou. Já teve muitas gravações e relatos com pessoas que sabem da história do Museu e na hora que der, vai sair. Aos poucos!
Além de proprietário do Museu, você também é poeta. Conta um pouco sobre esse outro lado do Leonardo Ruggio.
Poesia é uma coisa muito boa. Um lado meu que eu amo. Uns 30 anos atrás veio essa vontade de fazer poesias mas desde pequeno eu já gostava de escrever meus poemas. Daqui um tempo vamos lançar um livro com contos e poemas. Terá uma surpresinha no meio.
Recentemente, houve um incêndio no Museu Nacional. O que você, como proprietário de museu e adorador da arte em geral, tem pra falar sobre isso?
Pudemos acompanhar esse episódio e foi muito triste. Muitas vezes damos valor pra pessoa somente depois que ela morre. Eu percebi, com esse incêndio no Rio de Janeiro, que a procura por museus aumentou. Após essa tragédia, o povo acordou para a realidade e parece que agora estão valorizando mais os museus.
O que você acha do cenário cultural aqui em Itabirito?
O cenário cultural é muito bom. Tem algumas falhas num aspecto individual mas é bom. A cultura de Itabirito, na figura do senhor Ubiraney, é muito boa. Eles questionam muito bem e fazem a coisa bem feita. Tem muitas festas boas. Ele (Ubiraney) faz pelo conjunto mas esquece que tem um ou outro lado que tem que ser dada uma atenção maior. Ele precisa pensar que não tem só o povão e focar apenas em tour, Julifest e festas pros jovens. É preciso regar as pequenas plantas, assim como o Jeca Tatu, o teatro lá do Bação, que durante o ano inteiro celebram a cultura na cidade. Falta esse apoio. Mas no geral, a cultura tá boa aqui.
Qual mensagem você deixa para a população sobre a valorização da arte?
Sabemos que o povo precisa e vive de arte. O povo não pode ficar sem arte. Aqui, no Brasil, ainda estamos engatinhando nessa questão de arte. Então, a mensagem que eu deixo aqui, é que as pessoas durmam, sonhem, pensem e se alimentem com a arte, para ficar mais forte e sábio no futuro, garantindo uma qualidade de vida maior para o tempo que cabe a cada um neste mundo.
